NBSO Porto Alegre receives Standout of the Year Award in the Renewable Sector

NBSO Porto Alegre has received the Standout of the Year Award in the Renewable Sector, given by Sindienergia-RS (Renewable Energy Industry Union of Rio Grande do Sul) on December 7^th. According to the director of the Gaucha entity, Daniela Cardeal, the NBSO office works actively to encourage the generation of renewable energy through the development and management of the businesses between Rio Grande do Sul and The Netherlands. “In 2019 missions were made to promote bioenergy, and now in 2022 it has promoted offshore, nearshore, green hydrogen and ports, which are providing the opening of new markets and technologies and attracting the industry”, she highlighted.

The deputy representative of The Netherlands Business Support Offices Porto Alegre, Lucila Almeida, represented the office at the Award ceremony. “The partnership and the collaborative work are very important in the renewable area, between NBSO Porto Alegre and Rio Grande do Sul. The State has been working to make the energy transition and found know-how in the Netherlands. It makes us very happy, because everyone wins when we contribute with climate issues. We change the world into a better place”, said Lucila.

In 2023 the office will celebrate its 25^th anniversary based in Rio Grande do Sul and the work has been consolidated with the business missions, research, and prospection of partnership. “In June we made a mission to The Netherlands with the Government of Rio Grande do Sul. Recently, the president of Sindienergia-RS, Guilherme Sari, was at the Offshore meeting in The Netherlands. It is important to disclose that at this side of the Atlantic there is a strong energy power, and it is about to be exploited and developed”, highlighted the deputy representative of NSBO at the Award delivery.
