Brazilian mining has suffered two tailing dam breaches in the last three years. In a effort to create a more sustainable and responsible future, the Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM), in partnership with the Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy of Minas Gerais (CREA-MG), launched a public call for suppliers of technologies, services and products related to management and handling of mining tailings.
The call seeks to boost innovation in the sector, as well as the dissemination of best practices and technologies available in the market for management and handling of mining tailings. This will be an opportunity for suppliers to demonstrate the possibilities of reducing impacts through the adoption of new technologies.
With the submissions of the public call, IBRAM will promote an event on June 5th, 2019, in Belo Horizonte, at the Auditorium of CREA-MG, during which suppliers will have the opportunity to present their projects. The lectures should have a total duration of 20 minutes, including the time for discussion. Sixteen companies will be selected to speak. If the number of suppliers exceeds the time available for the 16 presentations, IBRAM and CREA-MG will try to set an extra date for the other presentations.
Interested companies are asked to fill out the technical file for submission of proposals by following this link https://forms.gle/x2RbqpHfLsB8Tevo6. The deadline for registration is May 15th. In addition, it is necessary to send a document and/or portfolio with a description and photos of its technical proposal of technologies, services and products related to the theme via e-mail to ibram@ibram.org.br.
