Technical Visit to the Netherlands: Onion Mission

From 4-8 August, the Netherlands welcomed around 20 Brazilian onion growers and merchants from the region of Ituporanga, Santa Catarina, supported by Richard Posma of NBSO Porto Alegre. The program consisted of company visits, network receptions and an expert round table led by Bert Rikken, Agriculture Counselor for Brasil of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Brazil. Several other organizations cooperated as well to make this mission a success; Special thanks go to Elcio Goedert of KRG Turismo, Jaap Jonker of De Groot en Slot, Gijsbrecht Gunter of The Dutch Onion Association, Inge Ribbens of ´Groente & Fruithuis´.
