Low Carbon Brazil Program

On February 6, the NBSO Porto Alegre received a visit of Mr. Jonathan Ramirez from the Dutch company Green ID International Business Developers in Sustainable Technologies, accompanied by Mr. Tjitte van der Werf, from Frisia.

Mr. Ramirez came to Porto Alegre to attend several meetings in order to identify opportunities for the use of biogas applied to poultry. One of the projects Green ID is working on is “Biogas plant for chicken manure in Brazil” a joint effort with “CIBiogás-ER”.  The project was selected to receive support from Low Carbon Business Action in Brazil, and is entitled to receive technical assistance during the implementation phase.

The program Low Carbon Brazil is an initiative from the European Union in order to encourage initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Brazil is already in phase 2: http://lowcarbonbrazil.com.br  / Low Carbon Business Action PI/2017/386-892.
